You saved my son's Life
On August 31st my 10-year-old son, named Quincy, was racing down a hill on his bicycle. As he came to bottom of the hill there was a stop sign but he was riding to fast to yield to the oncoming vehicle. Within seconds, he and a small truck collided. As he hit the tuck, putting a 6 inch dent in the front fender, he was then thrown into the windshield and fell to the ground unconscious. Overall, the accident caused a mild concussion, a lot of bruises and abrasions and a broken right arm. Thankfully an abdominal CT showed no internal injuries.
After going to the ER by ambulance we were discharged and returned home. Before leaving the hospital parking lot, I thought I would take a moment and look at his helmet. Oddly, there was a wrinkle across the back of his helmet. I showed it to the ER doctor and he stated that without the safety the helmet my son would have had some level of head trauma. Wow, what a miracle!
I quickly recalled, that only about 6 weeks earlier, I purchased two Razor V-17 helmets--one for him and another for his older brother. At the time I was only going to buy one for his older brother but I remember having a distinct impression to buy one for him also. I am so grateful I did. When I consider how most people rely on a high power for direction their life, I too believe that a higher power, who I call the Holy Spirit, had impressed upon my mind to purchase this extra helmet. I have been raised a member of the Mormon Church or who is known as (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) and taught that the Lord knows all things and understands our lives and what transpires daily. Little did I know that the Lord knew events that would transpire in my son's life in the few days that would follow. I will be eternally grateful for the Saviors' understanding and knowledge of our life on this earth. He really wants us to be happy and never wants us to suffer and feel pain and sorrow. In just a few seconds or with a slightly different decision on my part it could have changed the course of the life of my son and our family.
I would like to thank Razor for the safety that their helmet gave my son. My small boy's life could have been changed forever. I am so grateful for the people that have engineered the helmet he wore that day. Thank you, Thank you, with all my heart.

Sincerely,
Kay C Whittaker, Quincy's Father.

Schwinn Intercept Helmet Review

Schwinn Intercept Adult Micro Bicycle Helmet (Adult)
I have had this helmet for more than two years now, and it has been great! No problems, but then again I haven't had any accidents. I'm not complaining, but I obviously cannot vouch for protection. It is very comfortable and the visor, although it appears small, makes quite a difference. I would definitely recommend this helmet.-By. E. Lewis -

Bell-Pro GEL Glove Review

 Bell PRO-GEL Cycling Gloves, L/XL
Bell PRO-GEL Cycling Gloves, L/XL
Probably the best gloves I had in years. Compared to my old $45 Pearl Izumi these are winners: soft, feel really nice, easy to put on and take off, gel pads in the exactly right spots, nice finish, seams appear to be very well done, the little tongue and loop are very handy as the other reviewers mentioned: for pulling them on or hanging to dry. They wash nice, no weird smells. I bought two pairs and use them for commuting as well as weekend rides. My experience with Bell products has been positive so far: basic functionality without frills and good quality for reasonable price. All my bell gloves outlived more expensive ones.-By. AdamDZ-

Bicycle Tool Review

Topeak Alien II 26-Function Bicycle Tool
Topeak Alien II 26-Function Bicycle Tool
It is a nice tool set, include all the allen wrenches you needed to adjust bike handle, brake and brake handle, speed rover, seat position.
It also include the chain tool for remove a section of the chain. In addition, it has two size spoke wrench for ajusting the wheel.

When you ride your bicycle, your tires may rub against the brakes. This is easy to fix wheel problem - spokes need adjusting. What you need to do is wheel truing.

Place bicycle upside down. Spin the wheel while holding a pice of chalk close enough to the wheel. After spun around a few times, stop the wheel and take a look those chalk marks. Do this process on the other side of the wheel. Tighten the spokes on the other side of the chalk mark and loosen the spoken facing the chalk mark. Adjust each spoke one turn.
Wipe out that chalk mark. Once all the chalk marks are gone, you can spin the wheels and using chalk to find the next spot to tighten and loose the spoke. At the end, you have a perfect round wheels :-)

The included spoke wrench has two sizes. It works fine for all our bikes.

I used this tool assembled a complete tandom bike in two hours. The tool felt little loose at the end of the assembly. But nothing really worn out.- By Edison "hitech lover"-

Bicycle Light/Beamer

Planet Bike Beamer 3 LED Bicycle Light with Quick Cam Bracket Mount
Planet Bike Beamer 3 LED Bicycle Light with Quick Cam Bracket Mount
I've had mine for almost two years of heavy use. The light is very bright, providing a great deal of visibility and some illumination of the road in front, which is enough for the city, and batteries last a very long time. Most pleasingly, the mounting system is very durable and it seems likely that it will withstand several years of regular use. The unit appears to be impervious to rain. As with all of the gear I've purchased from Planet Bike, a superior level of design is evident. A good, basic LED headlight.-By Adjective -

This is the second one I've had in 5 years which I think is a good thing. It's accurate and very helpful but a little complicated to use at first. Take time to read the instructions. You do have to set it to the size of tire on your bicycle to get accurate mileage readings, but there is a chart in the instructions to help you with that. It's great!- By. Lynn Olzacky -
